Lakeside Lodge Clemson is a 118-unit luxury condominium property located on Lake Hartwell in Seneca, South Carolina within Oconee County. The previous resort development experience of co-owner Steve Mudge and the capital raise experience of co-owner Leighton Cubbage joined together with their desire to create something special in the Clemson area. The resulting Lakeside Lodge Clemson has been a huge success, quickly becoming “the place to be”, especially during Tiger football season. The $52 Million property functions as a condo hotel with owners of individual units having the option have their unit managed as a rental property by the on-site rental management company, Southern Resort Group.

The property was once the site of the former Defore-Milliken manufacturing plant prior to its current redevelopment. Pacolet Milliken Enterprises, Inc. sold the property to NewSpring Church, Inc. in 2013 after the plant was closed and the property sat vacant for over a decade. Upon purchase of a portion of the site for the construction of a new church campus, NewSpring Church sold the remainder of the subject property’s parent tract to Casto Development in 2015. Casto Development sold the property in 2019 to Allie Capital and its investors, who completed development of Lakeside Lodge Clemson and opened for business in Spring 2020.

Situated on 7.677 acres, the development includes one, four-story and two, two-story mid-rise residential condominium hotel buildings. The condominiums are sold fully furnished and are a mixture of 62 studio, 41 two-bedroom, and 15 three-bedroom units. Amenities include a pool, hot tub and pool bar, lake access, outdoor amphitheater for events, football recreation field, restaurant/bar in lobby, full daily room cleaning service and ample parking.

Allie Capital raised $10 Million to begin construction, managed all phases of development and brokered all individual unit sales.
