The Residences at Biltmore was originally developed in 1967 as an apartment complex on 6.29 acres. In 2007, the project was completely renovated and converted into a 114-unit condominium project. 50 units were acquired in late 2012 as the Asheville real estate market began to heat up and units were sold individually as vacation or second home properties with rental income to offset holding costs in the short-term.
The Residences at Biltmore is located at the southeast corner of Biltmore Avenue and Caledonia Road, about .5 miles from the entrance to The Biltmore Estate. The project’s proximity to The Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Village and walkable downtown Asheville made it a prime location for tourism traffic. On-site amenities include a pool and hot tub, gym and recently-added restaurant and meeting space.
Sales were complete in 2018 and affiliate company Southern Resort Group manages the rental business of the condos currently enrolled in its rental program. The property operates as a full-service hotel for those enrolled units and remains on of the area’s most sought after accommodations.
